Online Therapy

Available for those in Indiana. From the comfort of your home or the convenience of your office, you can access effective, specialized support through online therapy sessions. Also known as telehealth therapy or distance therapy, we use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform (doxy.me) to conduct online video sessions to those in the state of Indiana. Our licenses currently prevent us from providing psychological services to those who are not currently located in Indiana.

Online based therapy may be beneficial for:

  • Busy professionals who do not have time to leave their office for a therapy session.

  • People whose work schedules may conflict with meeting during business hours.

  • People who live in remote areas within the state of Indiana who do not have a therapist within driving distance.

  • People with physical disabilities for whom transportation is a barrier to seeking mental health services.

  • Those who do not have time to meet face-to-face due to parenting or caregiving responsibilities.

Prior to your first online therapy session:

  • You will be provided you a specific link to the waiting room of your therapist's online platform. This link will be used for each subsequent session.

  • Once you arrive at the site, please enter your name, and your therapist will begin the session once you have checked-in for your scheduled appointment.

  • Be sure to locate yourself in a quiet, private space that is free of distractions.

  • The doxy.me platform seems to work best with a Chrome browser. Be sure to have the most up-to-date version of Chrome before beginning your session.

  • Connecting directly to your router using an Ethernet cable for wired internet is recommended for best quality, though wireless networks can work fine as well.

  • Be sure to use a secure internet connection rather than public/free Wi-Fi.

  • You will need to use a webcam or smartphone during the session. If using a webcam, please turn on the webcam and audio before your scheduled appointment.

At your first session, you and your therapist will review risks and benefits, privacy concerns, technical considerations, and desired goals of teletherapy. Teletherapy is not appropriate for all individuals, issues, or types of treatment.

Not all health insurance policies cover teletherapy sessions; be sure to check with your specific plan, in advance, to verify benefits and coverage.
