Dr. Jessicah
Even before starting my doctoral studies in psychology, I was drawn to the power of healing, the importance of meaningful connection with others, and the journey toward reaching our full potential—or, as I’ve come to see it, embracing and expressing our most authentic self. This belief shapes my approach to therapy, where I help people create meaningful change from the inside out. Just as the spaces we inhabit can influence our sense of calm and happiness, healing our hearts and minds by deepening our connection with every part of ourselves can transform our lives and relationships in profound ways.

Not every individual or couple I work with meets criteria for a mental health diagnosis; often people pursue therapy to more fully know and understand themselves, to thoughtfully navigate life transitions, or because it seems like the next right thing for their personal and/or relational growth.
Of note, I do not treat personality disorders, substance use disorders, or eating disorders as these are not my areas of expertise.
Can I provide online therapy to clients outside of Indiana?
Yes! I am authorized to practice in 40+ states under PsyPact (APIT/E. Passport, Mobility #13177), which means I can provide virtual therapy to clients who are, at the time of the appointment, located in any PsyPact participating state. Check out this map to view which states participate in PsyPact.
My Specialty Areas
Anxiety. The genre of anxiety that I work well with is one in which anxiety is the manifestation of a covering up of deep emotional pain. Anxiety is what hovers above the unexcavated site of your suffering. And from that perspective, anxiety serves you so well. It's such a productive distraction from the misery, the self-doubt, and the fears of being too much, not enough, stupid, or weak. Anxiety likely contributes, in part, to making you as successful and endearing as you are. It works hard for you. Yet, the anxiety doesn't solve the problem of your pain. Eventually, its usefulness comes into question as it impacts your sleep, increases your irritability, or reduces your concentration. This is typically when you show up at my office with an inner knowing that you need to dig up what you hoped wouldn't have to be addressed to experience the healing your heart needs so that anxiety doesn't have to drive your life anymore.
Trauma. One of the most meaningful aspects of my work as a therapist is holding space for clients with a trauma history, especially those who had painful or traumatic experiences in childhood. I am honored to be that safe person and to walk alongside my clients as they, at first, gently dip their toes into the pain, and over time, integrate the traumatic responses to experience healing and wholeness. I am trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing), which is a powerful tool for helping clients access deeper levels of emotional safety and healing.
Couples. Another passion of mine is working with couples. Specifically, I enjoy providing therapy to couples who deeply love each other yet need some support to navigate communication challenges, parenting difficulties, sexual concerns, and barriers to sustained, emotional intimacy. Another area of interest within
couples/relationship work is working with the LGBTQIA+ community as well as those in poly, open, and consensual/ethical non-monogamy relationships. For those who are not quite sure about where their relationship stands, I additionally work with couples who are discerning whether or not to continue their relationship.
High Achievers. I love helping high achievers navigate anxiety, high-functioning depression, perfectionism, or imposter syndrome to find lasting relief and healing. Many of my clients seem fine" on the surface—excelling at work, maintaining relationships, and managing responsibilities—yet internally, they feel exhausted, disconnected, and weighed down by past experiences and limiting beliefs. Together, we’ll cultivate deeper self-awareness, align your life with your core values, and strengthen the relationships that matter most. Our work will create space for you to pause, breathe, and find a balance that feels right for you.
As a therapist, I am honored to journey alongside my clients, guiding them toward healing and expansion and creating transformation in both their inner and outer worlds. I look forward to meeting you and working together.

Summary of Training
I earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2014 and a Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University in 2018. I have trained and worked in a number of clinical settings including community mental health centers, educational agencies, medical centers, and in private practice, providing individual, group, and couples therapy and psychological assessment across the lifespan as well as clinical supervision and consultation. Additionally, I have obtained post-graduate training, supervision, and consultation in sexual concerns. I am trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing) to treat trauma, process painful events, and overcome blocks to performing well.
Theoretical Orientation
When working with clients, I use a number of theoretical and applied orientations including cognitive-behavioral, humanistic-existential, relational-cultural, internal family systems, attachment-focused, psychodynamic, holistic health, emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method. Employing a body neutral, sex positive, and gender affirming stance, I honor and incorporate multicultural and intersectional realities into the therapeutic work. Drawing from these orientations and using evidence-based practices, I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the needs and goals of my clients.
